Gp = 10·log₁₀(T·B)

T = 60秒、B = 200 Hz で約 40.8 dB。 参考までに、12台が同期した場合の同相利得は 20·log₁₀(12) ≈ 21.6 dB です。 符号は「台数」の約2倍の価値があり、しかも端末同士が合意する必要がありません。両者は加算されます。

Technical information for rescue teams
Locating ordinary buried handsets — no app, no prior enrolment

119 has priority. This page supports incident command decisions. It does not replace dispatch, fire service, incident command, or USAR procedure.

1 — Preserve now (time-critical)

Mall Wi‑Fi controller/AP association, probe and last-seen logs. These auto-rotate and cannot be recovered afterwards. Preservation only — whether and how to analyse is incident command's call.

2 — The asymmetry: radio in, vibration out

Downlink reaches (≈60 dBm EIRP, lowest code rate, heavily repeated, every handset, no app or pairing — still 50–60 dB above phone sensitivity through 2 m of concrete). Uplink does not (23 dBm, body-blocked, against 50–130 dB). That is why buried people receive calls but cannot send data. The trigger only needs to arrive once, downlink. The response need not be radio at all.

Prefer the vibration motor over the loudspeaker: air ≈415 rayl vs concrete ≈7–8×10⁶ rayl means the air/rubble boundary discards most speaker energy, while the haptic actuator is mechanically bonded to the case and thence to the slab — a direct solid path into the medium your geophones already couple to. Eccentric-mass motors run 150–250 Hz: survives metres of concrete, inside Delsar-class listening bands, below most site noise. No new equipment has to reach the victim.

3 — Procedure

Preserve → Broadcast (cell broadcast on a published schedule; 救援活動の情報 is already a permitted category in Japan) → Listen (150–250 Hz, geophone to slab, during ON windows) → Record the silence too → Sweep (NLJD, reporting harmonic ratio) → Fuse with GPR, K9, thermal, visual as uncertainty-bounded candidate regions.

4 — Why recording the silence matters most

Knowing the schedule lets you record OFF windows and subtract. Site noise is roughly stationary over a minute; the target is not. This converts absolute detection ("is that above the noise?") into change detection ("did this location get louder exactly when it should have?"), which survives a working, deafening site.

5 — Coded repetition beats loudness

Gp = 10·log₁₀(T·B) → 60 s × 200 Hz ≈ 40.8 dB, versus 20·log₁₀(12) ≈ 21.6 dB for twelve synchronised devices. The code is worth about twice the crowd and requires no agreement between handsets. The two add. The sequence must be public so any team can correlate without coordinating with us.

6 — NLJD and the rusty-bolt problem

Semiconductor junctions re-radiate harmonics; rock and concrete do not. This lane asks the handset for nothing and works even unpowered. But corroded metal contacts are non-linear too, and collapsed reinforced concrete is the worst case for it.

Semiconductor: 2nd > 3rd. Corrosion: 3rd > 2nd. Always report the ratio. Better still, modulate the target using the step-2 broadcast schedule and correlate — a rusty bolt does not know our schedule. The downlink lane and the needs-nothing-from-the-phone lane are each other's discriminator.
